Mr. Nangano's practice focuses primarily in business
litigation, products liability, construction defect,
employment, complex civil and Internet-related litigation.
Mr. Nangano is"A-V" rated by the Martindale-Hubbell
attorney rating service.
In non-Internet-related matters, Mr. Nangano serves
as chief casualty counsel to a number of corporate
clients involved in oil, gas, manufacturing and
food services. Mr. Nangano also tries cases dealing
with medical malpractice, roadway design, automobile
collision and aviation casualty and serves as litigation
counsel for a local probate and estate law firm.
Mr. Nangano has further prevailed in numerous product
liability actions, successfully defending the design
and manufacture of products ranging from heavy equipment
to medical devices and establishing design defects
in products widely in use for more than twenty years.
An offshoot of his product liability practice has
been a specialization in fire loss and cause and
origin cases for major national insurance companies.
Mr. Nangano's business litigation experience has
included contract, partnership and real estate related
disputes. His current emphasis in defending businesses
against allegations of unfair business practices.
In terms of the Internet-related matters, Mr. Nangano
is the lead counsel to EarthLink Network, Inc.,
and its ongoing attempts to drive the originators
of mass unsolicited e-mail, colloquially known as
"spam," off the Internet. Mr. Nangano
also assists EarthLink in its litigation involving
Internet trademark misappropriation and defending
the validity of "shrink-wrap" agreements.
He is and has been involved in representing financial
institutions in a variety of litigated actions.
Mr. Nangano has been involved in employment litigation
since being admitted to practice law. His current
emphasis is in assisting his private clients in
addressing their pre-litigation and litigation employment
needs.
Mr. Nangano serves as a court appointed arbitration
officer for the Los Angeles Superior and Municipal
Courts. He is also a member of the American Bar
Association, the State Bar of California, the Association
of Southern California Defense Counsel, the Defense
Research Institute, the American Board of Trial
Advocates' Inns of Court, the American Trial Lawyers
Association and the Rio Hondo Bar Association.
Mr. Nangano received his B.A. degree, magna cum
laude, from the University of Southern California
in 1983 and his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1986. |
